A Note From The Director
Dear New Band Parents and Students:
Welcome to the Lemon Bay High School Band! My name is Philip Eyrich, and I am honored to begin my third year here as Director of Bands. I am a local, having attended and graduated from both Charlotte High School and Florida Gulf Coast University (Music Education, BME). I currently teach Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Keyboarding, and Eurythmics.
Since 1978, the Lemon Bay High School Band has been a vibrant part of the school and community. The 2018-2019 school year promises to continue that tradition, and will be filled with great music, exciting travel opportunities, and an active performance schedule. In addition to our three school concert performances scheduled this year, our Marching Mantas will compete at the Mariner Triton Invitational, Lightning Tournament of Bands, and perform for assessment at Marching MPA.
Being involved in the Lemon Bay High School Band Program is a richly rewarding experience that will help build confidence and character. Our music students learn valuable life lessons such as commitment, teamwork, time management skills, and personal responsibility while having a lot of fun!
I look forward to meeting with you and answering any questions you may have. My office telephone number is (941)474-7702, ext. 3412, and my email address is [email protected].
Welcome to the Manta Ray Band Family!
Sincerely,
Philip J. Eyrich
