LBHS Band Program - Marching Mantas Rehearsals & Required Materials

                         Required Materials for ALL marching band rehearsals (including band camp)
  • A reusable, insulated water cooler/bottle with a capacity of  AT LEAST  24 ounces
    • Small, 16-20 ounce “single serve” bottles of water are not acceptable
  • Closed-toe, rubber soled sneakers
    • Flip flops, boots, sandals, and bare feet are unacceptable, and students will not be allowed to participate due to the risk of injury that these types of footwear can lead to while performing marching maneuvers
  • Appropriate clothing/work-out clothing
    • The following clothing is not acceptable – jeans, hoodies or other sweaters/jackets, long pants, low-cut tops or other tops with a deep/plunging neckline
  • Students will need to bring a lunch for each day of band camp - students will not be permitted to leave campus for lunch
  • Your instrument/equipment and music
  • A positive attitude​
 
                                                                         After-School Rehearsals
Our regular after school rehearsal schedule will be every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM unless otherwise indicated.  After school rehearsals are mandatory, and will have a direct effect on the student’s grade.  Each section will also have one sectional per week, lasting no more than 1 ½ hours.  These will be scheduled after each section has met to determine the best time for each section.  Additional rehearsals will be scheduled only as needed and at least 1 week advance notice will be given.
